  • Florence, Texas, is a quaint small town, rich with history and friendly folks. Situated conveniently in the Texas Hill Country, Florence is a hidden gem, centrally located to Austin’s night life, shopping of Fredericksburg and Salado, the military history at Ft. Hood, historic square of Georgetown, the Magnolia Silos and Baylor University in Waco, the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M at College Station, many state parks, lakes and rivers. As a result of the discoveries at The Gault Archaeological Site, Florence has recently gained worldwide recognition as "America's First Hometown". Whether you’re into exploring ancient history, wanting to enjoy a good meal or simply browsing our shops, we welcome you to our hometown!

During the March School Board meeting, Chamber member Eddie Vale, of Vale-Irvin Homes, presented a Teacher of the Month check to Amanda Burson. We are so proud of our Chamber members and their commitment to the Florence Community, and we thank Eddie Vale for his generous donation!
